RideLead is a ride coordination platform that helps riders and ride leaders organize group rides, ride invitations, RSVPs, logistics, updates, and rider communication.
Information We Collect
RideLead may collect account information such as name, display name, nickname, email address, mobile phone number, profile preferences, riding type, rider skill level, home location if provided, availability, RSVPs, invite history, ride activity, comments, photos, and support requests.
Account Information
Account information is used to create your RideLead profile, help ride leaders identify riders, show ride participation, manage ride rosters, support account access, and improve ride coordination.
Phone Numbers
Phone numbers are used only for ride-related communication, account functionality, and platform support. RideLead does not sell personal information. RideLead does not sell rider phone numbers.
SMS Communication
RideLead SMS notifications are optional. Users explicitly opt in by checking an optional, unchecked SMS consent checkbox during account registration or account settings. SMS consent is not required to create an account, join a ride, or use RideLead. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Users can reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.
Ride Invitations and Ride Messaging
RideLead sends ride invitations, ride updates, logistics, RSVP notifications, event coordination messages, and rider communication notifications only to users who opted in.
How We Use Information
RideLead uses information to display ride details, calculate ride distance, help leaders manage rosters, support guest joins, send requested communication, improve app reliability, prevent misuse, and keep ride activity organized.
How Information Is Shared
RideLead may show limited profile, RSVP, and ride participation details to other riders and ride leaders when needed for ride coordination. RideLead does not sell personal information.
Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent will not be shared or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opting Out of SMS
You may opt out of RideLead SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact RideLead support for help with communication preferences.
Data Handling and Protection
RideLead uses reasonable safeguards to protect account, ride, and communication information. Access to rider contact information is intended to be limited to platform functionality, ride coordination, safety, support, and user-authorized communication.
Children and Minors
RideLead is intended for users who can lawfully participate in rides or coordinate with a parent or guardian when required. Organized events involving minors may require additional guardian consent.
